Trapped in my Own

A man tapped in his own thoughts,

Lost in a world he has wrought,

He ponders deep in his mind,

What secrets and treasures he might find.

He roams the maze of his own mind,

Seeking answers he can't seem to find,

He's trapped in a world of his own making,

A place of wonder, fear, and faking.

He wanders through his inner world,

A labyrinth of emotions swirled,

He's lost within his own psyche,

A prisoner of his own reality.

He struggles to find his way out,

But the walls of his mind are stout,

He's locked in his own mental cage,

And only he holds the key to his own rage.

He seeks to understand himself,

To find the answers on his mental shelf,

But the deeper he dives into his own abyss,

The more he realizes he's been remiss.

He's ignored the world around him,

Lost in his own thoughts that surround him,

He's become a hermit in his own mind,

And the only escape he'll ever find,

Is to let go of his own thoughts,

And free himself from the mental knots,

He must learn to see beyond his own reflection,

And embrace the world with renewed affection
